What to Photograph

Send clear, well-lit photos from several angles. These six views give our parts team the best chance of identifying the correct replacement the first time.

1

The Entire Part

Step back far enough to show the part’s overall shape and how it sits or attaches to the RV.

2

Close-Up Details

Photograph plugs, fittings, mounting holes, fasteners, wires, hoses, and the damaged or broken area.

3

Model & Serial Tag

Take a sharp, straight-on photo of the full tag. Include the manufacturer, model, serial number, voltage, BTU, amperage, or other ratings shown.

4

RV Data Label

If available, include the RV year, make, model, and VIN label. It may be near the entry door, in a cabinet, on the roadside front corner, or in your paperwork.

5

Measurements

Place a ruler or tape measure in the photo. Show overall width, height, depth, hole spacing, and pipe or hose diameter where relevant.

6

Surrounding Area

Show the nearby opening, connections, and mounting surface so we can understand orientation, clearance, and fit.

Photo Tips

Make Every Photo Useful

  • Use bright, even light and avoid glare or deep shadows.
  • Wipe dirt from the model tag before photographing it.
  • Tap the tag or part on your phone screen so the camera focuses there.
  • Keep all words and numbers inside the frame—do not crop the edges.
  • Take at least two angles, including one wider context photo.
  • If your phone saves HEIC photos, those are welcome; JPG, PNG, and PDF files also work.

Safety first: Do not remove or disconnect energized electrical, pressurized water, propane, or other gas components just to take a photo. Send what you can safely photograph, or call us for guidance.
